I am thirteen years old and I am currently in grade seven. For the past few months I have been homeschooled (long story). I plan on going back to school next year and would really like to begin the ninth grade this fall. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to prepare myself for an entrance exam?

You need to do some research and gather information about the areas/ topics that the entrance exam will cover. once you do this you need to get in the gear of studying. You do not necessarily have to study very hard, instead you just need to utilize a studying technique that you know works best for you.

Good luck.

Contact the school district where you are planning to attend. They may have strict guidelines which include more than just passing an examination. They will probably want to consider psychological components as well before allowing you to skip a grade. For instance, they may want to know how mature you are and whether you can handle the stress of dealing with classmates slightly older than yourself. Also, they may want to try and judge how you will relate to teachers who may be teaching on a higher plane than you have been used to dealing with in junior high school. Good luck with your endeavor.

First of all, find put what the exam will be covering. Then, study those topics you might have missed at home.
