Hi Friends,
I know its A Bit awkward question but i can"t think any thing Else than asking you all.
I work in Royal Mail Delivery Office and I have brand new Astra the Very First day I took it to work I realized some one has put a Little Scratch I just ignored it , But today when I was leaving from work I saw some one has made quite many scratches on the front bonnet of the car with any sharp object. I reported my manager about it, he said i will watch the CCTV recordings and find Out.
So What do you think , what Action should be taken against that?
or Am i entitled to take any legal action against that?
PLEASE HELP ...I am Feeling really Depressed.....!

If you are having someone check CCTV recordings that will show who scratched your car ... you have a civil AND criminal case against them provided the recording clearly shows who they are and what they did!

As a minimum you will need the recording evidence for presentation in a civil and criminal case.

In the U.S., intentionally damaging someone else's property (chattel) is a crime that may be punishable in criminal AND civil court. It seems prudent to notify law enforcement officials to file a report on the matter; and, if the individual responsible is determined, the recordings should be provided to the district attorney. Also, remember to notify your automobile insurance carrier of the damages.

if the person has been caught on the ccty than u should take that tape along with ur manager to the police and make a report followed by legal action against the person.

damage of property, in South Africa you could defenitly get some payout from the guy who did it. Might be diffrint where u are
