I have ran everything on my pc for the problem. I have used spy bot ,nortons, I have disk defraged, disk clean up , Like I said I have even system restored. The freezes aren't as bad with mozilla than they are with explorer.

Probable reasons for this freeze up could be:
1.Insufficient RAM
2.Spyware or other forms of malware
3.Hardware defect
4.Over heating of processor

Solutions:
1.Increase your RAM. If you are on Windows XP, get at least 512 MB. For Vista, you require a minimum of 1 GB.
2.Scan your computer for spyware / adware etc. Get a good anti-spyware program, update it and scan for spyware. I will recommend Spyware Terminator, a free anti-spyware that comes with real time protection. You can have it from http://spywareterminator.com/
Note: Remember to keep its HIPS feature turned off.
3.Check for hardware defects.
4.Arrange proper cooling of your processor.

Hi there..

Common problem, It sounds to me that you have either Malware or a stubborn Virus.

If you have your XP disk I would recommend using the repair console. If you don't have your disk or a restore disk ( Not system restore in windows, Cause it has a copy of the bugger saved) and go that route to save your files and overlay the Windows XP program.

Now if you don't have either of these I would try Zone Alarm Security Suite.

They have a 15 day Full trial. If you really like it and want to buy it at a discount please let me know.

Go to www.zonelabs.com and click on the download and buy link on the left, then click the 15 day trial link, Then choose the download link on the far left for the Zone Alarm Security Suite.

Good Luck and if you have any more questions please feel free to contact me thru my site.

"this last time it only took like 3 or 4 days' proves your PC is infected with malware. You ran all security tests in Windows, so my guess is you have a root kit. Windows security software has a hard time identifying and removing them.

I would run RootKit Revealer From:

It only identifies root kits, you would have to try to remove any it finds by yourself. Not very easy to do.

I recommend you back up your personal data and format the hard drive and re-install Windows, it's the only way to be sure Windows isn't infected. Then, install Windows Defender to reduce the chances of getting a root kit again.

with kind of this prob there are a lot of thing u should do and try to troubleshoot. first of all that you said you restore your PC. ( u mean format of just use the restore CD for a branded PC ) for the software or window error the simple solution is just format it better than go for detail.
if after you format it and install all the driver, install the standard software ie office, the prob still happened there are problem with your hardware. hard disk got a bad sector or your display and your ram and i hope not with your motherboard.
try not to use the prog that for the same function ie. internet explorer and mozilla to avoid software conflict.

Reinstall Windows, then before going online, install antivirus software (NOD32, Avast, F-Secure, etc), enable or install firewall.
