I agree with the first two, not with the third. He is overrated and overhyped, but he is a good football player.

The titans were much better as a team last year than people like to say. The defense was pretty good, and Travis Henry was a workhorse.
Vince Young needs to show something as a passer before I'll jumo on that wagon. He ran the ball alot, but he didn't really show anything as an actual qb. It's not really a surprise that a qb who plays like a rb helped bring up a teams record to arounf 500, but at the same time those type of qb's don't take their teams much farhter than that unless they change their game. I'm not saying that he won't be a decent qb in this league, but I don't think he will. The Titans might even have some minor success with him unde center, but people will need to remember that there are other players on the team and that he might just be along for the ride.

Vince Young is a superior athlete, but as mentioned before he is more of a running quarterback like Michael Vick. This could prove to be his Waterloo because he opens himself up to injury being so wide open. I think he is a better all around QB than Vick and probably not as delicate, but he's got to work on his passing more. He isn't Montana or Brady but a good player who can get better with the right work. Overhype is the way of the American media. I don't pay much attention to it. I prefer action over all the hype. Show me something first and then I'll give you the kudos that go along with it.

Hows that? He made a team of nothing into a playoff contendor. Who do you like? tony romo? now, he's overhyped. Vince Young is about as good quarterback as Peyton. I mean can you name off the top of your head the Titans' starting receiver or tight end? No. There was no talent on the team. And he led the greatest comeback in history. Down by 24 in the fourth quarter? Never been done before. He went 8-3 as a starter when the team started out 0-5. Somebody said he had bad stats. Tom Brady has bad stats sometimes, too. Peyton didn't have that great of a playoff run statistic wise. And he's the best. Plain and Simple, STATISTICS DON"T MAKE A QUARTERBACK.

I dont think hes overrated. He didnt start the whole year and had 2200 yards and 13 TDs passing, and over 550 yards and 7 TDs rushing and Tennessee won 8 of their last 11 games with Young starting. You want to find an overrated QB, look toward Atlanta.

Since you are an Ohio State fan I should not be surprised about you making such an idiotic comment. Did you watch the National Championship game in January '06? Since you are an OSU fan, I figure you'd appreciate the whooping he pretty much singlehandedly gave to your over-rated linebacking core that year. As far as his pro career goes, he was Rookie of the Year! And trust me, Troy Smith will be out of the league in two years. I don't think he is even good enough to be a backup.

Stop being jealous of Young just because Troy Smith and every other Ohio State player sucks the big one!

Vince is not overrated he don't have supporting cast to protect him to be that pocket passer,if his line could hold up u will see a different young, this guy is so cool in pocket, and don't get raddled,Matt and bush over hype and young had better rookie season than both

Anyone who says Vince Young is "overrated, over hyped, and a bad football player" is obviously an OSU fan! Doesn't OSU stand for - "The" Over-hyped State Univ?

I'm a big USC fan (we know championships!), and Vince Young was THE ONLY REASON why we lost the Rose Bowl in 06. You don't look at stats, you look at wins - and Mr. Young will only get better.

He is a great athlete but must work at becoming a better pocket passer, otherwise he will become the next Mike Vick, very exciting but not Super Bowl material. If I were him the first thing I would do would be to ask to be taken off the Madden cover.

the most puffed up participant on the 49ers merely left the team, and that develop into Dashon Goldson. do not get me incorrect, I loved observing Goldson play, yet his hyper-aggressiveness led to lapses in coverage that damage the 49ers. Goldson is solid, yet his homestead-run form can damage a team that don't have proper-notch CBs. paradoxically, with the improvements Tampa Bay made with their secondary, he will be a extra efficient in good structure with them than in SF. As for this 12 months's team, i'm not particular who's the most puffed up, i will ought to confirm how the season shapes up (yet i'm leaning in direction of Carlos Rogers).
