My goodness you are a brave man admitting what has been obvious to many visitors to your shores.

I suffered at the hands of the Irish police just for uttering the word I'm English...or does this not count.

I hope it does because many Irish people have opened their hearts to English people and are very welcoming of us and get on very well with their neighbours across the Irish Sea.

No it is the Irish Garda that have the problem with other nationalities, but then does this not apply to all police forces anywhere in the world these days.

My dad is Italian and Syrian, yet my mom is a mixture of stuff and 25% Irish (her grandpa develop into born there). even although i'm no longer that a lot Irish, my call is Kelly. it really is after her sister who kicked the bucket. i imagine human beings attempt this both because they have a connection to the call or they a twin of the way it sounds. yet i might want to make sure why it annoys you.

As should all Law Enforcing Bodies.

Ireland is not alone re police forces that are corrupt or employ racist people.

It happens in other countries too - it is not helpful to society I agree.

Dude, chill. Go to the bar, grab an Irish car bomb and ponder the meaning of life.

Sadly, you find "corruption" in EVERY walk of life....not just in law enforcement. Because law enforcement is more in the public eye....they get more media attention!

The even sadder part of the issue are those who stereotype placing ALL law enforcement who strive to maintain the highest standards of honesty and integrity in the same light as those few who are corrupt!

Best wishes!

Please to hear that there is still hope for the old country.

With your English ability, you must find yourself the butt of Kerryman type jokes.
