It's a scam.

For one thing, you never entered any contest.

Second, Microsoft almost never gives away money. If they have any contest at all, they give away stuff (usually microsoft products, of course)

A good rule to go by - if you win a competition you didn't enter, then think scam. Most of these tell you you have won a large sum of money and then ask you to make payments to "finalize" the prize. You don't see your money or the prize. You can contact you local Consumer Affairs Department - they have lists of the known scams. Or you might have to contact your local police department to see if they have heard of it.
Also check the origin of the information. Note www. addresses. If it was Microsoft it would be on their official site, wouldn't it? After all it would be great publicity. Not some obscure e-mail address.

Wow, these people are gettin desperate. I can't tell you how many different varieties of this have seen, and EVERY ONE is a SCAM. Trash it, delete, spam any of the above. It's all a hoax, and not a very good one I might add.

When you contact the Claims agent, you will be asked to deposit money in YOUR account in order to cover handeling charges or a commission for your agent, when you do say bye, bye to your money.
