Coming from someone who has done tons of research and talked to lots of docs during my tttc expedition, the best ways to conceive are these.
1. Make sure you are doing it when you are ovulating. You can tell you are ovulating by charting your basal body temp, tracking your cervical fluids, and ovulation prediction kits.
2. The best position and the position most friendly to sperm is missionary. Any other way means that gravity has the advantage and these are just little guys, so stay on the bottom when he finishes, and prop your butt up with a pillow. Not a big one because this can make the sperm go behind the cervix which is really bad when you are trying to get pregnant. Just a regular pillow will do. Try to lie there for at least 30 minutes. More is preferable. This gives them time to swim fast without the pull of gravity.
3. do not use lubes, saliva, water, or anythign else. These things are deadly to sperm and will kill them on contact. The only thing I have ever heard of that is actually good for the sperm and helps them to the egg is called preseed. its meant for conception. YOu dont want to kill them whenyou are trying to make a baby.
4. Stop smoking as this decreases your chances of conceiving by 30%. I know its hard, Im a smoker too, and its the hardest thing I have ever done. Stop drinking as this has an effect on ovulation and fertility as well and decreases your chances.
5. If you have a problem with getting natural lubrication down there, another method that I have heard really helped lots of women is .....and this is going to sound weird....but robatussin. Just the normal kind with no letters after it. It produces extra body mucus, and is friendly to the sperm. It causes your cervix to produce more of its own mucus and helps them out. But you should only take this prior to ovulation and only for a few days.

We tried unsuccessfully for months. I called my OB/GYN and talked to the nurse. She said although this position was not scientific, but it seems to work. It's a bit graphic but here goes...doggie style with your butt all the way up and your head as far down as you can get it. Also, try and get your rocks off first, so everything is nice and lubricated. After he does his business, stay in that same position for a few minutes. Your man will prolly love you for suggesting this and it takes the boringness out of doing it missionary all the time. Also, the nurse said more boys are born this way..she wasn't sure why but it just happens...well, we got pregnant after trying her suggestion and we had a son over 3 years ago!

as for positions it doesnt really matter, you just have to get your most fertile days right...Use an ovulation calculator to help you with that ( on the web ) thats what helped me, however, I have a tilted uterus, had a hard time getting pregnant, so the doctor ...believe it or not...told me to do it "doggy style" , he said if a woman has a tilted uterus thats the best position and after sex dont use the bathroom, and elevate your hips to help the sperm travel..GOOD LUCK:)

have you tried sex? lol im kidding, try different positions, and make sure you both enjoy it...and try not to have sex more than once a day, or even like 3 times a week, because the more the sperm builds up the more there is....you can also check out your fertility calendar (just search for one and enter your period dates and whatnot) hope that helps

u have to count days. there is a certain period for that.say for example,if ur wife's finished her menstrual cycle today so from 11 days from now till the 15th day she will be most ripe.
try in one of those days and u should be on top.
also for sure shot results, try keeping a pillow under her buttocks when she is lying on the bed.

A friend of a friend of a friend told me that if you have sex upside down it helps the sperm and egg by gravity. Umm yeah I'm kidding. You have to have sex with no protection. Other then that, if you have trouble conceiving after about a year you need to see a doctor.

try having sex during mid day when you are ovulating, and then go back to work or whatever you do on a regular, that worked for me and the wifey.. funny but true
