Why are so many liberals fundamentalist christians?

Bill Moyers, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Jimmy Carter, John Edwards... al fundamentalist christians...........while the liberals say they hate god and religion, most of their leaders are devout...whats the deal.....why do liberals always say what they think people WANT to hear then do the exact opposite....do they intentionally LIE all the time or is it some kind of mental problem?

I go to church every sunday. However I don't want my government involved in my religion and I don't want my religon involved in my government. Simple. see? Seperation of church and state.
