The easiest way to decide on a best friend is if you feel like you can trust him! Where there is no trust there is no real friendship.

I have to, however, advise you that it is great to have guys as bestfriends so long as they're not bums or anything (They have to be GREAT guys!). You see having a guy as a bestfriend will give you the benefit of having someone to talk to particularly on issues that involve 'guys'.

you cant decide on a best friend...but if u were going to it would be the one u get on with most, you Neva hav fights, someone u can tell anything about and they listen, don't make fun and give u advice... and even if u best friend doesn't like the same things u do that doesn't matter because opposites attract!!! but remember friendship isn't about 1 person u hav known for the longest its the one u feel helps u the most and u dnt wnt to lose!

In order for you to become someone's best friend you have to understand and know who they are. It varies depending on the person. Sometimes you can get to know a person in two days while others it takes a couple of weeks or months. If this peron you are talking about is really nice, you should go for it.

I'm an extremely cynical person, but regardless, I'm inclined to tell you what I think. Let him call you his bestfriend if it makes him feel better, but as far as you I would say you should just investigate him a little y'know? I'm not saying go through his things, but just TALK to him. You can find out a lot if you ask the right kind of questions.

You don't decide who is your best friend. It works it out by itself over time. You can only have one best friend. The others are close friends, or just friends. The one you start to hang around with the most, over a period of time, will be the best one. This can take a few years to work itself out

Are you so special you can't let another person in your life? What makes you think he isn't going to be asking the same question about you? Get over yourself and grow up.

My rule of thumb is to wait and see who gives me the most stuff. Whoever pays out the most for my friendship is my best friend!

isn't 9 months of knowing the person too early? anyway, if he does consider you as his best friend, then so be it. you do not need to "reciprocate" the feeling, since you really have to feel that you consider him as your best friend. give yourself some time, you would consider him as your best friend without forcing yourself.

There really is no formula on deciding a best friend. It just sort of happens, though some people use the term 'best friend' very loosely.

There's no time limit on a best friend. You hang out, you're together all the time and it just happens. You're talking like there should be a plan and a time limit.
