Depending on how close you are to your fourth week of pills, it may be too late to stop your period.

Even if you do skip that, you will experience breakthrough bleeding/spotting and it will take a while for you to get back to a regular cycle.

I tried it Aug '06, and it took a few months to get back to my regular cycle. I spotted at the strangest times while still using my birth control (nothing was wrong with me except for what I did). I would never do that again.

Have you tried Seasonale? I hear that one you only have four periods a year to worry about.

Rather than take your "period week" (in which you take the sugar, or placebo pills), throw out your old pack, and just begin a new one on the first day.

It's simlar to the new brands that do it for you like Seasonale. Lots of Drs have been letting women to "CBC" (continuous birth control) for years, esp for women that have heavy or painful periods, or those going on honeymoons, vacations, etc.

Good luck!

Skip the placebos.
