>If you know there is some good that you can do, do it. If there is something you know you need to stop, stop immediately.

It's like "you want to do, then do it". I want to be that simple minded person but I can't be. Oh see..... I can't. What do I need to be someone like that?

It's more like "stop being envious" or that kind of stuff.

It is easy to do something good, just let yourself! and if there
is something that you have to stop ( i"m not sure what you mean by that ), but some people have a harder time than others ecpesially if it's an addiction like smoking, alcohol, drugs, If that's the case there are meetings for all of those,
just inquire to different centers or councelers, I am an
alcoholic, was daily for nine years. I didn't get a year sobriety
on my first attemt it took 3 times and the last time almost killed me literally, I don't know why some people are what you say simple minded. Anything bad for you is worth the battle
to quit, but for most of the world nothing comes easy unless you work for it, and want it bad enouh! It's all worh it in the end!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope this helps, :)

Life is really very simple, but men insist on making it complicated....Confucius.

But you already know that. IF by being a normal person you can't be simple, then you must surpass that condition. IF you try and cannot change your condition, then you must overcome it, not get around it, but above it.

Like master N. very well said: "Man is something to be surpassed"

But how in the world can one do this? How can one achieve something that is totally unnatural? Is there a special method to do this? Can Science or Religion help? Is this even possible?

Well, that is up to you to look for that special something that will get you there. I can tell you one thing; you look, you find.

Of course, everyone is looking, some more than others, and of course, everyone will find, some faster than others, but in the end, we'll all get there.

Good luck!

Simple minded people are true and sincere. It follows that things happen for them easily because they don't make things bigger than they have to be. People that want to feel important always make things complicated because then through their ego and pride they rise to the occasion and feel important. Seen a lot of managers do this: they think they are so big and important and want to look so impressive in their big careers that they can't be simple. So many problems have simple solutions, but they have to mess things up because of inflated egos.

The key to simple mindedness is to see that when you live for what's true and right in the moment, the truth will always see you through, and that's success. Get out of the way! With simple and genuine people everything they touch turns to gold. Selfish egotistical people turn everything into lead.

People who get what they want or do what they want or need to do don't do it out of sheer simple-mindedness, but rather attract the circumstances to themselves that they desire through the law of attraction. The emit the vibrations that will attract the circumstances they want in a positive way. For instance if they stop smoking or lose weight, they have put out positive vibrations of belief that they can and will achieve optimal health. They don't focus on what it is that they DON'T want, because whatever we focus on expands. We become what we think about. So, they think about what they want. They want to be healthy and fit and have a longer life-span and better quality of life, etc. Then they attract that into their being, which includes doing or not doing whatever is needed to attract those circumstances. It does not include focus on what they don't want.

You are not like that and you don ´t need to.
By the way, good news.

This sentence is the central core of an idea which can be expressed with many more words.
Some people can express themselves only with simple and basic words, other can find extra "readings " in the same idea.
Relax.

Some people seem to have a gift for instinctively knowing or seeing the right thing to do, and then do it. Some of the rest of us take so much time to analyze things that the time passes to take action and you're left there still trying to figure things out!

You think too much. You worry too much. And you are too afraid of making a mistake in your life.

(Don't take offense.... I do it too. But I'm getting better.)

"Moderation? It's mediocrity, fear, and confusion in disguise. It's the devil's dilemma. It's neither doing nor not doing. It's the wobbling compromise that makes no one happy. Moderation is for the bland, the apologetic, for the fence-sitters of the world afraid to take a stand. It's for those afraid to laugh or cry, for those afraid to live or die. Moderation...is lukewarm tea, the devil's own brew."
-- Dan Millman, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior

Remember, sitting on the fence makes you a spectator of life not a success in life.

We do tend to complicate issues as a species. Sometimes, elegance and simplicity are just as preferable than to make something far more complicated than what it actually is.

Of course, the evidence is in the suffering the individual creates for the self in their convoluted thinking. If one adheres to their desire for complexity, they can also evaluate how happy and how inwardly peaceful they are.

The issue is using labels like "single minded". Elegant thinking is not being simple minded where being simple minded carries a perception.

Our language forms our reality. Choose language and your reality with care.

i don't think it's 'simple mindedness' you're talking about. Sounds more like drive, determination and strong will.
If i understand the question right.
Stick to yer guns. Make a decision & follow it through.
