Crab spiders can change their color, depending on which type of plant they are sitting. They can be white, green or yellow.

Some kinds of crab spiders hunt in flowers, lying in wait for things that cone to the flowers to drink nectar or gather pollen. These particular crab spiders, often all called 'flower spiders', can generally change their color between white and yellow, to match the color of the flower they're on. Crab spiders as a group are called that because they are rather flat and can move sideways and backwards pretty well. They're generally slow and heavy-looking, and most are sit-wand-wait, or 'ambush' predators. Only a few types can change their color, however; the many kinds of crab spiders who hunt in places other than flowers are generally brownish or greyish and have a sort of camouflage pattern on the abdomen.
