i have a long white skirt but i have no top to go with it. what does with a white skirt, i thought this black top would be i made the mistake by choosing a black formal top and many others, iv just gotten so out of fashion, my own fashion is depressing me. i wear mostly jeans and wanted to wear a skirt but i dont know what goes with it as the tops i have go with jeans.
Help? what kind of tops work for skirts.

Hi!
Since you stated that you have gotten out of fashion, one of the easiest ways to ease yourself back into it is with accessories. Find a chunky bright fun colored necklace and wear it. Use some bigger shades to make you feel sexy! Try some dangle earrings that you normally wouldn't wear! Experiment a little and you will find what is comfortable and right for you!
Now, with the white skirt...depending on what type it is really depends on what to wear with it. If it's LOOSE and FLOWING, try a structured top, something with a little cling to it and some casual shoes. That way you won't look like Little House on the Praire with flowy tops and skirts.
If it's a tighter, dressier skirt, try dressing it up with some sexy heels (they don't have to even be high!) and a cute little loose shirt.
Great colors with white are actually black, like you said, it's HOT right now! Try black and white with RED accessories! CUTE!
Or try a color you like such as pink, purple, blue...anything! That's the beauty of white!

What is the style of the skirt?
A straight, narrow, style.....tank top or other no fuss tailored style top would work.
A full, more floaty style skirt you could wear something in a more "peasant" style with puffed sleeves, off shoulder styles, etc.
Whatever you do, make sure whatever you are wearing under it does NOT show. If a sheer fabric, please wear a slip...white and white undies. If you tuck in the top, make sure the color of top does not show through.
Any cute sandals or ballerina flat style shoes would work with the skirt. Either in white or a color matching your top.

for a top with a long white skirt wear a long-tight-.....brown shirt. And With A Long white shirt wear those tight dressy formal pants

the initial spelling threw me ( because i was going to say a nice long pair of black pants ) but i think a lovely sea - green top will go well with your long white skirt ( lol ) ! good luck .

A really cute black halter or tank top and some cute black flip flops or sandals. But remember....accessories make the outfit.

Turq. or aqua are great color with white. The contrast of the two colors balance out to a clean outfit. If you'd like, add white accents of jewelry or a nice white flower.

umm.. usually.. white stuff goes with everything..
but.. a white long skirt.. if its all fluffy.. wear something tight for tops..
if its nice and thin down to ur feet or whatever.. umm.. i would say... wear something with a nice jacket or something
