Everyone is so very sorry after they get caught. they make weird and outrageous promises on how they will do better. It's called playing the 'sob card'.

I agree with Happy1. And they are not sorry, as we as ordinary people are not sorry, we're just expected to apologize, and it usually works( but it doesn't chanage the original opinion!)
