question for betta fish lovers.?

Question

What are a betta fishes natural preditors?
And in what parts of the worl are thay natually found?

heres one i know you'll love:

by the way this is just extra stuff you really don't need to read, i's just bragging on my betta:
mine's name is Goddard(after the artist) he has black scales with irresent blue tips. his top and tail fins are a lighter irridesnt blue with awsome black markings and the bottom fin is also blue with blood red color at the base. his eyes look like you cut them in half and made to top baby blue and the bottom orange.

wild bettas are found in Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, they've also been introduced and are thriving in Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Singapore.

They're an Asian fish. Natural predators are birds and other fish.

I have 3 bettas:
2 are rainbow with pink and turquoise (names are Killerfish and Alien Slugfish) My 6 yr old twin boys pets :)
1 betta is black with irridiscent burgundy fins. His name is EMO.

Betta Splendens is a cross breed of 2 wild strains found in Thailand. People have been breeding them for centuries. In nature they are brown/green with short fins. Thai fighting lines are often colorful, but short of fin. (aka plakat)

Bettas are from Southeast Asia, but no betta you see in shops were collected in the wild. In fact, wild bettas don't look anything like the bettas we keep today. There natural predators are mainly frogs, snakes, small mammals and birds but also larger fishes.

I currently have 27 adult bettas plus about 600 young in various stages of growth. My favorites are black and steel blue.
