Ok, so my question probably made no sense - I am trying to describe a dress on Ebay, which has wire stuff down underneath each breast only it's softer than what they put in actual corsets... is it called boning, or am I making that up?? Please help!

The wire stuff is called under wired bust the boning in corsets is called boning but may be strips of steel . The boning word comes from original corsets that had actual whale bones inserted to gain that hour glass shape .~~
