I am needing a graphing calculator for a college algebra class. I was wondering what would be the best kind and the cheapest place to buy one?

A used TI-82 or a TI-83 would also be a good buy. I have my TI-82 from 12 years ago and still use it (I teach). It has been water logged and droped several times and is still good.

A TI-84 Plus is a good calculator
or you could get a TI-89 Titanium which does some algebra rearranging and simplifying for you

This section of TI website can give you more information and help you to find where to buy one from

Try getting a 2nd hand one off eBay.

I bought a Casio Fx-7400g for about £10 GBP including postage.

It's not colour or anything, but easily produces graphs and does all manner of stuff that I'll never use....

i would say the ti-84 or ti-84 plus, and your best place to buy them would be staples or office max, if you dont have one of those around i would try best buy or wal-mart
