I respect gay men. I like to hang out with them. I have a lot of gay friends. They are great friends, we can relate to each other-gossips, makeups, boys, those things.
Unlike most straight men, they are sensitive. And they deserve respect. To be perfectly honest, I think gays are braver than straight men. Some straight men would not admit that they keep diaries or a one-eyed stuffed bunny and these things. I know there are many ladies out there who'd date sensitive men.
Gays, lesbians, they all deserve the same amount of respect with the straight ladies and men. They are still human.

Because women have empathy for their fellow human beings. There's really no reason to not respect any human being, only testosterone-charged idiot males who believe in this imaginary power structure are the ones who make a big deal out of whether a person "is good enough" or "man enough".

It's too bad that you feel that way about lesbians. Many women respect gay men because, unlike a large segment of the hetero male population, we are not trying to use them as some sexual plaything.

Actually people who hate others because of what legal adult they sleep with are seen by most as a waste of oxygen.
Most of the adult heterosexual females that enjoy and respect gay men do so because they can have an actual conversation with them that isn't backed up by the ulterior motive of the guy attempting to get them in bed.

Exactly Indy, if there wasn't an alterior motive alot more women would respect the straight man as well. Oh and by the way, as a straight woman, I dislike you, and I wouldn't "let you have my body" either way.

As a straight woman that has a few gay male friends I can only speak for myself, but to answer your question it is because they are honest about themselves, afterall it's the way that God made them so get over it.

Everybody should respect all other persons, gay or not.

I find homosexuality disgusting on a whole, men and women.
Its makes me sad to see men waste their sperm. They could have brought into a world the next scientist, or writer etc. But instead they turn to unnatural affections that bring about diseases.
