I own domain names to some major companies but they are not in ".com" Style. I am not selling any products through the names. I just own the names and I am sitting on them till the companies find out and offer to buy the rights to them. Just for example...Say I own Coke.net, If the original company wants to do business as Coke.net also, do they need to buy the rights from me since I registered the domain name first or do they automaticaly own the rights since they are Coke? I would rent the name out if it is all good..Thank you!

This sounds like cybersquatting:

"Cybersquatting, according to the United States federal law known as the Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act, is registering, trafficking in, or using a domain name with bad-faith intent to profit from the goodwill of a trademark belonging to someone else. The cybersquatter then offers to sell the domain to the person or company who owns a trademark contained within the name at an inflated price."

Hope that helps!

If the company wants to use the exact same domain you own , then it has to purchase it from you as the domain is globally registered and owned by you.

if you registered the names then they belong to you.
If you want to sell them then sell them
