...so is there anyway past the login screen, or a way to get the 'on-screen keyboard' running at startup?

I can't enter my password you see...

Something similar happened with me.....it was water

I had to buy a new keyboard then.....lucky i had my friends keyboard as backup.

the only way to get past the login in Xp is by starting the computer in fail safe mode... but since you keyboard is dead then you cant do that.. so the only way to get your computer to work is by getting a new keyboard.. or borrowing one and then remove the pass..

ps. it seems to the keyboard is "dead" so it wont help waiting for it to live again... sry m8.

Ho dear Ho deary me. Have a guess what you have to do.now? you got it buy a new keyboard. As long as you R running XP just unplug the old one and plug in a new one and hope that it has not damaged the interface chip.
