I agree it is because they drool a lot when they are teething or trying to say something and dribble out of the mouth. But I personally don't keep my baby in a bib all day long. I don't mind changing clothes too often if I have to due to the dribble. But thats just me. it really is a personal decision. I don't keep her in a bib because she tends to chew everything thats reachable and I don't want her to do that.

They wear a bib all day long because they dribble all day long... so the bib catches the dribble and also doubles as a very handy cloth to keep wiping the dribble off their chin... when they are major dribblers and their chins are constantly wet they can end up with a small rash on their chin, also the constant dribbling can run down their chin into the crevices of their chubby little necks... more rash...they dribble a lot more when they are teething...

Usually its because they dribble a lot and a bib prevents their clothes from becoming wet and thereby reducing the chances of the bub from getting a chill which may lead to illness.

They wear bibs because of the drool. Believe me when I say this! Babies drool alot and you DO NOT want that on you, unless you prefer drool all over you.

They don't, unless they have lazy parents. I don't know what happens in the US, but here in Greece I've never seen a baby wearing a bib unless while eating.
