I drink, but judiciously, because alcoholism runs in my family.

I don't drink, I stopped over five years ago. I went to a christmas party for work shortly after my second son was born, and decided not to drink there because he would have been due a feed by the time I got in, and the chances of hubby getting out of bed if I was up were slim. I just never bothered after that. My kids are important to me, and if I get up with a hangover, or at the very least feeling like crap because I've had a drink then I'm going to be useless to them.

I drink to let loose. Not loose as in skanky. I mean loose as in having a break from my children, and I love to sing. Although I'm not very confident when SOBER. I've been told I can sing, I've won a few karaoke prizes because I can sing. I just don't find it quite as intriguing as I do when I've been drinking.
Mind you for me drinking only happens like once a month, so you can imagine I LET LOOSE!

I don't drink because I don't like what it does to most people and I am married to an alcoholic.

i don't drink why because my dad did enough drinking in his life to ruin his marriage, relationship with his daughter, some off his friends, drink driving and ultimately paid for it with his life by getting pissed and shooting himself while he was in deep depression all due to drinking. that is why i don't drink.
