perhaps its becasue they fear re instating the draft, which may happen soon, In my opinion we need a draft and a national mandatory serice to our country, but they also fear success and security. They are attempting to make this country in to a socailst state and are making prok the new natioal food

Discretion is the better part of valor. Just so you won't have to ask a seperate question to figure out what that means, I'll tell you. You have to take into account what we would gain by winning this war, how much it will cost ( I'm not just talking about money either ), and our chances for success. Put all of it together at this point, and a reasonable person will conclude it's not worth it to continue fighting.

.What victory???????? Iraq was invaded by US government which is led by Noe cons whose only prime concern was how much they could make out of this war. As there was no threat to US from Iraq. So any victory will be hollow one at a loss of lives of US military personnel. Not to mention the loss and destruction of native country. Can you remember Vietnam?
Was that a victory? So if a had a vote in US it would definitely be for the party who preserves live than the one who destroys it.

They want whats best for their party rather than whats best for the country. Victory would embolden the Republican party to the point of the Democrats demise. Much like the former Whig party around the beginning of the 20th century. The Democrats are obstructionists and a tool of the far left to turn America into a socialistic society.
Here is one point even Nancy Palosi cannot argue with. Capitalism hating socialist see the Democratic party as their avenue in achieving their far left ideologies.

Give me a freaking break with all this talk that Dem. are scared to stand up for victory.... The Dem. are standing up for being tired of sending our American troops to a war that has led to more deaths then the Sep. 11 tragedy it self. My husband is in the military and I will be damned if something happens to him because of this narrow minded president that can't even CONSIDER other people's opinion. This president is just revolved around his "war" and can not come to the realization that it must come to an end. How can Iraq take over it's gov't if we are there getting killed for them, they need a chance to put their foot down and get a hold of things themselves.... It's amazing how important this war is and nobody even see's how it must feel to loose a person they love because of this, so unless your actually going to war it can easly be said that we need to stay there.

Simple. Anything, that is good for Our Country? Is bad for the Lib's. They wish the exact opposite of our President. So they, blindly wish us to lose the War.

It could be because the 'Dems" are facing the reality that there will never be VICTORY in Iraq. For there to be peace, they have to desire it.

They've pretty much backed themselves into a corner with Iraq. They've managed to politicize the situation to where only a defeat they can blame on Bush will help them.
Victory hurts them, as does the public coming to the realization that their actions in the past four years had a great deal of influence in encouraging the insurgency, not to mention emboldening Iran.

Have the war/bush supporters forgotten so soon that this war is 5 years old, was accompanied by a massive propaganda campaign (not merely the lies to start it, but the blood frenzy to keep the public whipped up) and met with virtually no press criticism.
In fact, at one point, Bush even said the drums of war were banging so loudly in the press he felt pushed towards war. And the war wasn't won. In fact, things have gotten worse and worse.
SO, please stop your fantasy that anything is hurting 'victory' except the pathetic 'plan' that began this fiasco. This war is about one thing - making lots of money for bush and his pals. That mission has been accomplished. Our reputation and security and the life of the Iraqis are the collateral damage.

Because they just hate it when a Republican shows them up. The media and the Democrats have to all ways rip on the Republicans to try to convince themselves and the people that it is not working when in fact it is. I have talked to many men and women in the armed forces that say that we are winning and it is our media and our democrats that are lying to the American people. If the Republicans win this war in Iraq the Democrats will loose all of their seats.
