Those who use this quote justify their thinking on the basis that some people will cause injury or make wrong decisions attempting to do things themselves that should be left to experts.

In most situations, a little knowledge used with some common sense is far superior to ignorance.

Idealistic third world countries learning to make nuclear weapons is dangerous.

It certainly is!! For those of us who've ever had an obsession with the dreaded booze .................... be warned!! Think long and hard before you go to Alcoholics Anonymous because once you've been to a few meetings and had your little self enlightened as to exactly what you are doing to your body ............. even if you ditch the meetings and go back to the booze, there's not much joy left in drinking anymore, a little bit of knowledge trashes that forever!! ha! ............. :0)

Yes. It's the difference between 'Knowing' and 'THINKING that you know' something. Too many people have died or been seriously injured because they thought they knew something, instead of having all the facts. Better to spend the extra time and get all the information.
