i'm 22....ppl have a hard time taking me seriously cause they say i sound 10 or 12 at most, and i'm ALWAYS asked for ID when entering bars, and find that most of the guys who hit on me are still in high school...lol...i'm trying to get it fixed by conciously deeping my voice down a few notches when i'm talking and by dressing up abit, make up and all...but the 'squeak' tends to slip out and i feel kinda artificial.......

i hate fakers too...but unfortunately my case is the other way round...i'm 'faking' a 'big girl' voice hehe...because otherwise i'll just be that 'girl who'll never grow up'....its weird...i know girls who do it because they think others find it cute though...lol

It's o.k. if your being yourself. or among your friends even if their jokers. Now,if your in a place where guys hang out then your asking for it with such a delicate and sensitive voice.Of course guys and some women would come onto you.If your in a professional environment then............................

Yes, most of the time. There was this girl in class like that but i didnt mind because of how beautiful she was. But there was this acne commercial with an Asian lady who had a 'little girl' voice. Dont get me wrong, i would still date them n stuff, but i do get annoyed sometimes by the voice.
As for me, im 19 and people say i sound like im in my late 20's already

That sucks. I'm 22 too, but my voice is average, more rough-toned at times. People usually don't take me seriously because I look and sound like an idiot.
Don't worry about your voice. I bet it's a soprano when you sing. Just...be natural and let your voice change naturally over time. If that doesn't work, you could always take estrogen pills.

Hah, I do it too. It makes me be at liberty and relaxing. i do no longer plan on doing it whilst i'm 50 regardless of the undeniable fact that. incredibly, i think of I could end very almost now. Why do no longer you tell your mom that this is creepy?

If your words are clear and mature then a your voice would sound sexy to me but if you run around saying cutesy things all the time, then I'd find the combination extremely annoying. but thats just me.

a little bit, but what is even more annoying are motor mouths. ladies (and guys) who never stop to take a breath, or stop to have a thought as to what they are rambling on about. ICK!

As long as you feel that what you say or do is not characteristic of a tween, then you are safe to assume that no one is wrongly judging you.
