Would you rather if given the oppotunity:

1. Go to work as normal for the rest of your working life. (Nothing changes).

2. Spend all day, every day with your wife/husband/significant other and children and friends. Your family would be with you almost all the time.

Remeber that once this choice is made it can not be changed latter down the track.

If you wouldn't want to spend the rest of your life (as in all your time) with your family, do you love them, and why would you want to spend time apart from them?

Serious answers only please.

Thanks.

No change, no life. Both the options stink of acute monotony..... life needs a dynamic balance and not a static balance.... when I am at work, I think of the time I would earn to spend with my family and when I have had a good weekend with the family, I start thinking of work to do on Monday. Change provides spice in life. Even as we fear unexpected change, we can not live without desirable change. That is the enigma life is.

Another SUPER question... indeed thought provoking.

I think I can answer this the best!

Is this a question to be asked??? Before posting this question deep down u knew the answer for ur questuion, u knew people would choose ur second option.

Ok for me , I think I am a very unstable person, being all the time with family and friends would make me bore so I would like to do some work also. Ur second option is very attractive and interesting but I cant choose that.

Ur 1st option, is nice but working whole my life without having friends and family would kill me.
So that is either not for me.

But If I can switch from one option to other every time than my first option would be ur second option.

2. Family is most important in life. U cannot go to work if u have no family as u will be ill due to monotony in the house. If all that is needed in life is provided by the benefactor than there is no problem in choosing the 2nd option. But if u have to fend for life then u must go to work if u want ur family to be with u.

Option 1 obviously. It is startling how many people do not like their work and want to just laze around with 'family'. Well i think that people who work to make a living have a very miserable existence, you should be living to go to work.If you really like your job there is a great chance that you can enjoy both your job and family in the 24 hours that are given to us each day.
The fact that i like to go to work does not mean that i do not love my family but that working gives me a sense of self worth which makes me a satisfied person and allowes me to enjoy the affection of my family even more.
Who would like a lazy good for nothing lying around just to be with his 'family'?

2. Hands down! Where do I sign up? Where is this benefactor?!

I hate my job. I tolerate it to afford my house. If I didn't have to work then I could spend all my time with those I love & doing the things I love. Love is what makes life worth living. They are what I'm living for. My job is just my living. My loved ones are my life.

honestly, I'd prefer things staying as they are. I like my time at home yeah - but being there constantly I think would drive everyone nuts, myself included. I need to work everyday to keep myself sane and grounded. I need to feel that I have some worth other than the little I'm provided at home - my job gives me that worth.
Yeah - I like having some extra time off but by the end of that time I'm usually so anxious to go back to my office that I get up earlier than usual just to get ready and race out the door just to escape the monotony of SSDD at home.
Dont get me wrong - I love my family very much but I need my job to have time for myself.

For people of Faith number two is what we all live in hope of. It is not expected to achieve that bliss in this dimension.
Working life ends at 65 in this country. Many retirees chose to find work post retirement to stay connected. In this world I would choose to follow traditional work ethics and encounters with many people. I have the promise of option number two for all eternity.

With gratitude toward the benefactor I would spend my time with my family. We sincerely enjoy being together. We like many different activities. We have many different interests. It would never be boring because we are blessed with curiosity and genuinely LIKE each other.
