Just so long as they still have both their pinkies and no stitches in their hands.

Did you know that if you get stitches in the fourth finger of your hand you can not bend your pinkie? I guess that is false ettiquette. I am working my ettiquette back into motion as I type. That fourth finger is a pain to srengthen.

To be honest, I read Emily Post so I guess I should have said yes but ettiquette changes when you are around royalty or in other cultures.

It is a problem called ethnopromorphism, namely we judge people based on our own cultures. We are often wrong

I am not concerned with etiquette. I notice if someone is challenged in meeting other people where they are, and, if I sense it is within my contact sphere to help, I ask how the person feels about the interaction(s). If asked to help, I will then offer to mediate their discomfort in a way that they feel is helpful.
