First i´d try to read their body language and see if i could figure out whats wrong...and then i´d ask if they were okay....if something was wrong because they seem a little down...and if they say, no they´re totally fine...i would take the hint from that and understand that they dont want to talk about it..so i would just spend the rest of the day trying to make them laugh or cheer them up without them noticing...but if they did tell me what was wrong i´d let them know that im always here for them if they need to talk and ask them if they wanted to get a coffee or some ice cream or something and just go somewhere to talk.

I do not judge behavior as "strange". If someone I know seems upset, or challenged. I remind them that I am there for them if they want to work on anything. If I sense someone is self-destructive. I look to set up an intervention.

Outdo their strangeness with my own brand of odd-ball antics. That'll show 'em.

If I'm on the street I'd get away from them.If I'm at work I'd probably call the police.
