Hello guys...I have a 512 DDR2 RAM 533Mhz in one channle and I wanted to know if i can install another 512 DDR2 RAM of 667 Mhz in another Channle. As far as i know, I think you can't do it...but wanted to be sure...Pls help!

Because DDR2 memory is backward-compatible,you can mix the speeds.

you can install modules one at a time, and you can mix different densities of modules in your computer. But if your computer supports dual-channel memory configurations, you should install in identical pairs (preferably in kits) for optimal performance.

it is possible . however the 667 will only run as fast as the 533.when you install memory of different speeds all of the modules will only run as fast as the slowest.

You should be able to do it, its just not advised as they can conflict. usually though you will get as fast as the slowest speed you have as the faster ram can slow down but the slower ram will not be able to speed up. hope this helps.

YES, but your PC will always run at only one memory speed, the slowest of the two.
