the float is sticking or the needle valve is bad (not shutting off fuel to the fuel bowl)

Inside the carb is a needle and seat that fills the float chamber something is keeping the needle off of it's seat result? flooding. Toyota 22 r engine carb is not to complicated but getting all the vacuum hoses back in the right places is complex. Not to many old auto technicians with experence rebuilding carbs left but I am sure if you ask around you might find one like me to remove clean out and regasket that fuel mixing device from the stone age. Replace the fuel filter while your in there. Find some Mechanic in his 50's Gray hair and grease under his or her fingernails
