Bad bad bad idea...some work out and thats great for them...but I have seen the ones that dont work out and trust me...you dont want to have to see them at work almost everyday of the week. Especially when the other person has dirt on you from your personal life. (sigh) Not good at all!

Don't do it by any means.... think of these point of views:

1) Bad break up means tension in the office and the fact that you will see them everyday

2) Everyone knows your business at the place of work.... i.e. Did you hear about Jim and Sue?

3) Things will never be the same.

i am dating my co-worker, lol. we met at another job (hospital) about 5 years ago and dated for a lil bit. then he moved on to another job after we broke up. we started dating again seriously about 2 years ago and i have joined him at his job to work (another hospital) about a year ago -- but only for the increase in pay and less stressful job. i love my job. do i enjoy working with him and dating/living with him.....NO. if i could get another job with the same pay and comforts as this one i'd be outta here. it gets way too uncomfortable working together. especially if you're having arguments at home, you take your problems to work. it's a bad idea altogether, not to mention unprofessional. i've seen it work for a lot of people in this profession but it always has its downfalls.

If I was not working there then I would, but it violates the company rules. I think it would make if difficult to work there if things did not work out if both were employed by the same company.

Only if I was sure one of us would be changing jobs soon. I only work with 2 men. Neither are a possibility for me though.

I once dated a co-worker many years ago.
It was a mistake... and it ended ugly.

I have. Then we broke up and it was really uncomfey working together, and I ended up quitting. It was a really good job too. I would never do it again though.

I have dated a co-worker once before and it's not good to do so.

No! I did once, but I got fired because of it. Never mix pleasure with business.
