I don't know. I don't think people particularly notice my hips.

I don't really care if people "notice" my body - I notice the bodies of other women. What I mind is when that "noticing" bleeds over into harassment.

I would rather be noticed for my WORK at work instead of any part of my figure. If I'm going to be checked out, it sure as s-hit ain't gonna be at the office. But I don't mind my hips. Actually, they're probably the narrowest hips I know.

As long as people notice I have a brain, they can look at my hips all they want. In fact, I feel flattered.
I'm not flattered, however, when they make stupid comments. Women don't need to be told that they have a nice a__ or nice whatever while they're at work.

I work with almost all men. I like the attention as long it is not overboard. One man can say, "Hi ya, sexy!" and it is a compliment in his voice, in his look, his demeanor. Another man can say it, and it is nasty, leering, gross, and makes you feel like brushing your teeth. These men know who they are too! I would love to deck one of these guys. But then the whining and crying would never end. "You didn't hit the other guy for giving you the same compliment!" Compliment! HAH!
So, you just have to stay away from these guys, and don't give them the time of day.

Men are gonna look, regardless of what I wear or where I am. It doesn't bother me. It would bother me, though, if I weren't respected at my office for my many positive contributions to the company. That does NOT happen at my office, because they all know that Ms. Baltimore demands R-E-S-P-E-C-T!!

And to Nora: as a full figured woman, who is 5'10 and who wears a size 16 tall, I am sexy as hell...period!! My husband LOVES me for ME, not for the size of my jeans. May I suggest to you checking a few of the links on self-esteem/positive body image? Just trying to help. Please don't be offended.

In my mind, people will look whether I'm at work or not. I don't really care. It doesn't bother me. The only time it would is if the person doing the looking interfere's with my job.

This tends to happen to me..and as long as I am respected for the work I do and I am taken seriously I don't mind being eye candy..it's actually quite flattering.

It doesnt matter what people think or notice, I dont exist in this world for them. If being fat makes me happy, that should beat being slim and unhappy, anytime.
