The awe inspiring aura of the masterful Aussies overpowered their psyche! They couldn't handle the pressure and most importantly. They couldn't handle the incredible, amazing, superlative bat of Gilchrist.
They just didn't "cut the mustard "mate.
NO ONE DID !!!

I think when "Gill" drank some fluids which
brought by Autralian reserved player,
might have given him this power hitting ability
Gichrist did illegal thing
me think when "Gilcriss drank some fluids which
brought by Autralian reserved player,
might have given him this big hitting power
Law 3 (6) (c) (i) specifically prohibits a player from using equipment other than that permitted. And nowhere in cricket’s 42 laws is there a mention of a squash ball as a permitted item.
sri lanka could have won under better circustances,
if it was a 50 over match
if the weather was better.
this was the only match in the world cup it wasnt 50 overs. they should have postponed it for the next day or a day the weather was good.
Ultimately....rain & light chaos prevented
Sri Lanka from winning the World cup 2007
still some fans demand srilakns
shut their mouth about this UNJUST....
At least these fans ~criss and ~sord rox and lara king~
doing something against this ~disgusting unjust
thanx again guys
we dont worship Kangaroos
we worship .. only god

May be because of over enthusiasmor the thrill of the final, almost all the Sri Lankan Bowlers had an off day on the final. One of the reason for that could be the assault of Adam Gilchrist from the word go, which upset the balance of Sri Lankan bowling.

Good question buddy. There is an answer called him self "burning fury".
he is an Australian.
He may give you real funny Answer.
he is one of the spectaters who chanted "no Ball" to Murali when he was balling in Australia.
he is decendents from marooned & ship dropped ausies
from England .now he can cnot hide his vulger attitude.
That's How people like him from their country to
a decent question
i saw him one of the answers saying, dirtiest words in the Language.who is he talking about Sri Lanka?
we dont need him talking SL other than Cricket.
we are proud to be supporters of Sri Lanka.
we love to be there too.but right now i am some where else.
In The final the ball would have been wet and slippery so its harder to grip the ball.& the match was reduced to 38 overs ,
so it would have had a psychological impact too.
there was a battle between LTTE Rebels & Air foce at the
time of the final .
Almost everySL cricket player's parents were
in Capital city.so sinse their parent kids & wives in life & death situation,
how can a human can face such apresure situation?
still umpires supported Australia.
Against all odds Sri Lankan Cricketers did Galent Job .
Even Big teams Like Newzealand.South Africa crumpled against Ausies.
but these Lankans fought a brave Battle against bad
weather , bad Umpiring,
& bad light.
we are proud ma brothers .
hail to thee SL cricketers.!

2. The fact that the match was reduced to 38 overs would have had a psychological impact.
3. The pressure of a final would have caught up to the players.
