I dont know? but all the cats I had were very fun I think of them as being equal as to dogs except the one I just got from pets mart all he does is come for food but he does play sometimes & he gets along great with my chihuahuas. But if I would rather have a cat because you can do more like stay away for a couple of days without problems of cleanig dog boo out the carpet.

Dogs better than cats?? It depends on what you want from a pet!
In my opinion, cats are BY FAR the easiest pet to own. They house train themselves (well, most of them do), they can be left alone for a weekend, you don't have to hurry home from work to walk them -- you don't have to walk them at all. TWO cats, kept indoors, make excellent pets. They keep each other company while you are away and keep you company while you are at home.
Cats are VERY affectionate. Most cats don't like to be picked up but they will readily come and sit in your lap or next to you. Some cats DEMAND attention!
Cats have wonderful, playful personalities. A cat's purr is one of life's best sounds. Stroking a gorgeous, soft cat is SO relaxing.
Yes, cats can be destructive -- but so can dogs.
Saying all this, I will tell you that I still love my dog more. Dogs are the most wonderful creatures on Earth. Nothing will ever love you the way your dog loves you. But they are a LOT more work, they take a lot more commitment.
So, as I said, whether you prefer a cat or dog depends on what you want from a pet -- and how much you can give.

Its on how the person is. Dogs for good for younger people who likes to play. Cats are for older people who dont want to be running around. Dogs are more work then cats, dogs when younger loves to run and play and most give works 3 or more times a day. When cats you dont have to do so, they sleep most of the time or run around. and has fun with them selfs. My cat plays around wit her self and sometimes play with the dog. But the dog loves playing more then the cat. And the cat, i only see her when she is running to a diff room or eat maybe sleeping. The dog is better for childern then the cat is because there able to play with

well, it's like they say: Dogs have owners and Cats have servants.........lol.
Whether cats are better than dogs or dogs are better than cats is just a personal preference and depends on your lifestyle as well. Dogs are more dependent and require more care where cats are more independent and can be left alone for a weekend as long as you leave them plenty of food and fresh water and an extra litter-box. Most don't mind if you work long hours, where dogs may get upset because they are pack animals and don't like when part of the pack is missing for long hours at a time.
I do however have a black and white tuxedo cat that is very dog-like. He loves to play fetch and when the door bell rings my other cat runs and hides but this one just runs to the door to see who is visiting...........hehehe

I say it's the persons likings and lifestyle. I myself am a dog person. My boyfriend is a cat person. I'm into dog shows, he's into cat shows. I love the work of trainning dogs, he loves that cats only need to be taught how to use a litter box. Lol!
My kitty loves to snuggle and is an uber lap cat. (He loves to hop up on my desk and climb in my lap, purring and rubbing his head against me.) Something most cats arnt, same with my boyfriends Siamese. He likes to cuddle too. xD Both cats come when called even if you don't have food. So yeah. *shrugs*
I find cats and dogs to be equal, I just perfer dogs over cats because there is more work involved.

It really depends on animal - I've known a lot of cats and dogs, and they all have different personalities. Cats can be just as affectionate and loyal as dogs - or not - and vice versa. Dogs do seem to be more playful, but they're trickier to train and can be very stubborn, while cats practically litterbox train themselves. For dogs, certain breeds also generally have different traits, i.e. aggressive, social, need a lot of excercise, certain health problems, etc. So it really depends on what you are looking for in a pet, and the pet itself.

Dogs are better than cats. It is said based on their nature. Dogs are known as loyal companions while cats have fickle minds. Cats are always on the move while dogs are attached to their home / home persons.
You must had heard cats stuck up at trees etc . Cats it is said to think only about themselves. Dogs feel good with the people who care for them.
But I have no ill feelings for the cats please note. These are their natural habits.

Well it is true. Dogs will protect their owners to the very end and are loyal no matter what.
So much as breathe on a cat wrong and he wont talk to you for a week. Cats make good comanions but that is all they do.
Dogs actually do jobs for people and act as guards.

Sure, cats are easier than dogs, but a dog won't walk across your counters and lay on your dinner table when you're not looking. They also don't claw your furniture.
