Why do the media cater to white people so much?

Everytime I see advertisements for toys and stuff, the black and hispanic kids are always the sidekick!!
Like barbie for instance, all my life I grew up seeing the white girl doing all the talking, and then here comes the black girl with her giggles and thats it! At the end of the commercial you see the white doll as the main attraction and the hispanic doll and the black doll thrown in the bottom left hand corner. Which means the white girl got paid more than the mexican and the black girl... as usual in most jobs today, whitey gets the best and highest pay OF COURSE!
The Disney movies are mostly white characters.
Then they wonder why the blacks and hispanics are in jail or pregnant at a young age, BC white america don't give a damn about them, they advertise and cater to white ppl!
I didnt want they stank @ss doll when I was young cuz I was like damn why my homegirl Maria always got to be in the corner?

First, Barbie is fantasy and not reality. All toys are inferior yo the real thing. stop blaming a toy for the problem. Consumer demand determines company profits. If the consumers bought more of the ethnic toys, the ads would reflect that fact. Any company that wants to have a good profit margin must recognize who is buying more of their product or services. If that was not followed, the company would lose the majority of buyers resulting in financial instability. Being white matters not to me as to humanity. At no time before, during, or after birth had race, physical attattributes, or sex been my choice. I have a kot of " black action figures" that represent some of my favorite athletes. I have hispanic as well as white ones. I do not judge a person on color, physical characteristics, or sex that he or she had no control over. I've experienced the opposite of the spectrum. However, I have learned to deal with it. What a person does or says is is what must be scrutinized. Whether the player of my team is white matters not to me. How he does his job is more important. for me as it is always about wins or loses.

The media "caters" to white people for a very simple reason: there are more of them. Go to Africa and the equation changes. Also, you will gradually see the programming change as the population "demographics" change - advertisers want to know how to best spend their advertising dollars.

Since when do Disney movies reflect reality? The have talking animals - ever see that in the woods?

BTW: There are plenty of and Hispanic people who make a lot more money than I do - get your head out of your... backside.

I've heard a lot of excuses why blacks and Hispanic are in jail or pregnant, but I never heard that one!! I see a heck of a lot of catering to black people but it will never be enough for some of you,untill you guys have the complete upper hand. I'm white and my mom bought me black dolls. advertising is all about demand. there was probably a larger demand for white dolls when you were a kid. kinda like when you watch daytime t.v. and all the comercials are for old people, because there are more old poeple watching at that time of the day.

i think that certain races notice the 'unfairness' of being their race. for instance... do you think that a WET (white entertainment television) would be allowed without huge lawsuits? do you think that it would be allowed for there to be ivory clubs in high schools?? do you think it would be allowed for white entertainment magazines...hell no.
sure there are white people on tv and ive heard it argued that every channel and magazine and club are for whites. but thats not true. yes it is true that there are white people involved with these things, but we cant limit it only to white people.
i assume that the reason why there things that prohibit white people is because we are tired of hearing the others complain. it is easier to just ignore it, because it will never go away.

The media pays more attention to whoever is spending the most money on there products. It has nothing to do with race color or creed. Media is all about money money money. They spend millions of dollars every year trying to figure out what demographic is spending more money on there products and then they cater to that specific group.

Because it's workers are mostly white. So there still is a lot of racism in Hollywood. Look at the salaries of the white and black actors. Notice the big difference.
