Because they spend too much time watching tv shows about the police and they get a case of the machos. Plus, most are high school grads and get the big head when they put on their uniforms. Usually, idiots.

I don't think that they are trigger happy at all. In America everyone has a gun, and the job of being a cop is very dangerous for sure. A policeman is killed everyday in America, so i don't fault them for being careful in how they do there job. You never know when some nut job will try and do you in. Most times the cop will give instructions and the guy that gets blown away does not follow what they say. I have had tickets in the past and i have never been shot, because i do what the cop says to me.

It could be burn out.It's hard to go out on a call when you don't know what awaits you.You just might not make it home to your family after your shift is over.There's so many bad people out there.You really have to put yourself in their shoes.They've seen alot.

actually, they aren't. the average "cop" works for 20 years and never once draws their weapon in anger.
