This would mean more jobs for Mexicans. Could cut down on illegal immigrants coming into the usa. Faster and cheaper tranport costs of goods into the usa. friendlier realtionship with mexico then with China.
I though NAFTA was meant to help the usa, cananda and mexico , central american trade Not Chinese trade ??!!

I'm sure there's a reason, but probably not a good enough one not to do it. That's a good idea, we provide help to so many others, but it's like Mexico is the outcast.

There are many companies doing that. Panasonic, samsung.. etc. They are call "maquiladoras", and there are at least 200 here in TJ
