which do you prefer to listen to and why? The cello or the piano?

I prefer to listen to the cello because of the rich string sound over that of a piano. When placed in the hands of a well trained individual, the cello can sing. The vibrato derived from string instruments gives an emotion you can't get out of a piano.

Piano, only because I am familiar with it. I took lessons when I was growing up and have a piano in my family room that I now tinker with. I can't really get away with calling it, playing with, as I am really rusty at playing it now.
I do teach my 3 boys how to play and they do play it and believe it or not, they enjoy it. I bought easy playing piano books and it makes it fun. My 12 year old also plays the trumpet at school, so whatever he is learning at school on the trumpet, he brings that music home and plays the same on our piano.
I don't know much about the cello, except it is very pretty music to listen to.

the piano actually, because I play piano myself. But I love the two together. The cello is a really beautiful intsrument as well :)

The piano because it has a wider range of sounds, and I just love to hear a good classical piano piece.

i think the piano...quite a lot of good tunes come off the piano..can,t say i,ve heard one from a cello

Piano,but most favorite is the organ. I just love the different sounds you can get from an organ.
