I hug friends but family I hug and kiss (on cheek) and i always tell my family I love them when saying good-by :0)

Yes I usually do greet people with a hug and sometimes a kiss depending on the person.

I hug sometimes, depending on who it is. I have quite a few friends, some considered very popular some not. The 'popular' girls tend to hug more, whereas the other girls don't. I don't usually hug guys, and I don't usually kiss anyone except my family. I greet all my family with a kiss and a hug

Yes I do! Mostly a kiss on the cheek. Hugs are more for a family member.

Yes. It's a given.
Especially family. You make your rounds..everyone hugs and kisses and same thing when you leave.
Same with friends....Didn't happen so much when I lived up north. It's a for sure thing in the south.

I don't know how it started, but that is what my crowd does. I get more than I give. It still seems strange. If I'm introduced to a friend of my friend, I'm suppose to hug. I guess it's not a bad thing.
