Okay, Jay. That last line was redundant, coz I think everyone knew which team you support after reading your answer's first line
Steinbrenner is a very rich man who owns the most successful sports franchise in the world. He feels obliged to spend whatever it takes to do what he thinks is necessary to give his Yankees the best shot possible at the World Series. We may not agree with his methods but he wants his team to win, same as everyone.
And to all the haters, honestly tell me that if someone comes up and does a Steinbrenner for your club, would you not be overjoyed. Jealousy is perfectly human, everybody feels it.

a flippin' idiot for corrupting baseball. He has been doing the same thing since he first took over the Yankee's. As he said when he first took over, something to the effect of "I'll sit in the front office and have no dealings with the day to day operation of the team." Something like that, which everyone knows is a crock of horse dung. For the last Thirty + years he's been "BUYING" the best talent that he can and trying to put a whole bunch of all stars into a team that works, and that just DOESN'T WORK. The best thing you can do is have a couple of stars and you always have to have role players in any sport.
He's a putz and should be FIRED from the Yanks cause he's ruining it for everyone else. If you think of all the All-Stars and former All-Stars on the Yankees. Think how more distributed the league would be if each of those players were still out all playing for different teams. You wouldn't have nearly the same things happening with ONE team dominating each division year after year and salaries in baseball wouldn't be nearly as high as they are now! IT'S ALL HIS FAULT, AND HE SHOULD ROT IN HELL FOR WHAT HE'S DONE TO BASEBALL!
