Years ago I was having ear trouble. An old Ear Nose and Throat doctor told me to sip water while I had my nose pinched closed. It make a pressure in the ear and opens the ear canals. It does work.

Many years ago at work I got the end of a Biro pen stuck in my ears. The old nurse at first aid got a welding rod and sterilized it and pushed the pen tip out from my ear starting at the other ear and pushing gently in until she pushed it out. I cant hear without my hearing aids now But of course thats not what caused that, I was advised to put a condom on each of my ears but did not do so so now I have hearing aids .

I try to listen really hard, then not pay attention in rhythmic cycles.

My ears are so strong I can shoot a q-tip across the room with them.

In all seriousness though - try to yawn if you're having trouble with pressure. Try to learn to control the muscles around the sides of your jaw that open up your eustation tubes.
