How exactly do you use nipple stimulation to induce labor without using a breast pump?

You shouldn't do it without your doctor's okay, but you start by massaging the breast (the way you would when they hurt during menstruation or early pregnancy) and then gently roll your hands toward the nipple to express milk. If you get some droplets on the nipple, you are doing it right, if not, don't worry, many women don't produce a lot of colostrum until labor actually begins. Stimulate each nipple for 10-15 minutes each and then take a break for at least two hours. This releases oxytocin and should cause really hard contractions. It can be really dangerous but if you are overdue and staring down the nose of pitocin-induced labor, then it is a more natural way of getting things started.

Many breast pumps don't provide nipple stimulation merely rythmic suction so they usually won't work.

do it like 1-2 minutes on each side and they should start in 12-24 hours and when they do, get in a warm bath and walk, walk, walk. I did it and it got me to 3 1/2 cm, but my cervix was beside the baby's head and couldn't get any farther with out my water being broke. Good luck but don't do it alot.

Use baby lotion so they don't get too sore. I did while I was watching TV that away I wasn't paying attention to the time, just be careful it can bring on some pretty strong contractions.

Foreplay. Either you play with them yourself, or get your hubby to do it for your. Have some fun with it, sex helps induce labor too. :)
