Let L be the amount Lily ate:

1/5 = 2L

Multiply each side by 1/2:

1/5 * 1/2 = 2L * 1/2
1/10 = L

Lily ate 1/10 (one tenth) of the cake.

If 1/5 of the cake is twice of Lily's portion

1/5 = 2 L
1/5 / 2 = 2L/2
1/5 x 1/2 = L
1/10 = L
L = 1/10 ==> portion of cake Lily ate
