Black and Red wires go to Power (Should be black) and the white goes to common which should be white. Black and Red is power...one for the fan, one for the light.

The black is the hot and the red is either a hot wire for the light or it is a switched hot lead, and the white is neutral. good luck

White wire is your nutreal wire, black is hot which is power. The red is for your switched power depending on the type of hood.

Yeah every one that answered so far is correct.

Please do remember that you need to make sure you cut off power supply before connecting wires. It's a safety thing that you should not overlook.
