About 25 years ago I was sitting in my living room watching tv with my then wife. We lived in the sticks. No neighbors for miles. My 3 year old daughter was sleeping in the adjacent bedroom. I began to smell orange peel. I turned and asked my wife if she smelled it? She said no at first then yes. About a minute later my daughter woke screaming and crying. I went to see about her and picked her up to comfort her and she said there was a man in her room with a candle. The next day I picked up a book on ghosts. There was a chapter on ghosts scents. Orange peel was listed. Do you believe it was a ghost? If so, what did the orange peel scent mean about this particular presence?

The scents that an individual may have been associated with when alive are what is commonly smelled when entities try to let us be aware of their presence. Roses or sweet smelling perfume scents though are most popular and indicate good messages while sour or rancid smells would indicate bad omens.

So with your situation I would tend to believe that the message was a "good" or non-threatening one and perhaps someone associated with the house or your family was the entity that your daughter saw.

Bright Blessings!

I even have experienced smells with Ghosts, yet by no skill an incredible scent like that.. I even have particularly smelt what i could call stale cigarette smoke.. One extremely naughty and somewhat nasty entity I could desire to handle approximately 18 mths in the past used to alter the temperature on me, that became into very risky fairly as he became into changing my physique temperature no longer my environment.. maximum Ghosts advise us no harm, we basically proportion a typical area with them, the different dimensions and nation-states are all around us.. each now and then the veil between worlds is extremely skinny and that they could seem visually to us.. i'm in Aussie and for us final night became into Samhain, this is whilst the veil is at it is thinnest and there became into pastime in my cottage final night i will assure you.. i could say that the orange peal scent to this entity became into something very own... Blessed Be.... )O(

Well, the orange peel scent was associated with this man for some reason, perhaps he was fond of eating them.... I have known several people who have smelled scents associated with a particular loved one after they have passed over, it's a way for them to let you know they're around.......

I don't know if it has a specific meaning, except to the entity who is using it as their 'calling card'.
How very scary for your family!

And we smell ginger when my husbands grandmother is around..
Mum always wore tabu and hubbys gran used to bake him gingernuts!
