It never seems to last long enough. I have two boys (4 and 2) and am 31 weeks with number three and the 20-week ultrasound usually lasts anywhere from 15-45 minutes depending on how adept the tech/doctor is and how cooperative the baby is. I always want to sit there for another couple of hours and just watch my baby. Congrats, and plan for the whole visit to take an hour (that way you won't be anxious to make it to another appointment etc).

No the hell i does no longer pass all that way basically for an ultrasound.. you somewhat shouldn't experience undesirable because of the fact it appears like he's basically attempting to get you to do what he says.. i might basically say "i actually want you to be there yet i've got not got the money for gas and that i will digital mail you a photo of the ultrasound so which you will discover." needless to say he would not want an in depth relationship with YOU ... so basically make valuable he would not use you and be careful of how he words issues...

Mine went for about 40 mins, but I think that is longer than usual.
They need to check and account for all the organs, so if baby is facing the wrong way or is at an odd angle, it will take longer.
Expect at least 20-30mins.

Mine was about 30 minutes, but they were having a hard time getting his measurements...he didn't want to stay still! I'm glad it was as long as it was. I love watching my baby on ultrasound!

Since they had me not go to the bathroom before hand to "push" the baby forward, I rushed them and she did most of it in about 20 mins, then let me go to the bathroom before I wet myself. I came back and she did it again for about another 20 mins (I was MUCH more comfortable at that time) and got the sex that time too! So, probably from my experience and what I saw from others, 30mins-1hr.

Mine was about 40-45 minutes... they measured everything! They have to document it with pictures, that is why it seems to be really long. You get to see the baby's head, spine, hands, toes... everything! It is really exciting!!
