My son is 5.5 years old and I have had 3 more babies since (I know I'm crazy!!!!) Well just after #2 was born(I had the next 3 naturally) I noticed a lump on the scar. My doctor told me it was scar tissue and not to worry about it. But it would burn everytime I had my period, so I went to a different doctor. He said scar tissue and the burning is normal. Then with 1 week to go in my pregnacy with baby #4 it started to burn so my doctor( a labor and delivery) sent my to the obgyn and he said it was endometriosis. Now when I'm done breast feeding I'm getting it removed. Anyone else had the surgary? or stupid doctors?

I've never had children but I have talked to women who have and have had endometriosis grow in the scar from a c-section. My dr told me that area is very common to have endometriosis grow in and yes it can create its own scar tissue too.

I have had 4 surgeries (laparoscopies) to keep my endometriosis in check and yes I have dealt with drs who don't want to listen or have acted not so smart when it comes to this disease.

A C-section and mal-practice caused my endometriosis! No history in our family has suffered with it and I never had any trouble until my 1st C-section. I did have HPV and the doc went in to freeze my cervix, twice. He wasn't suppose to do that! Only once...well he welded my cervix shut..caused a lot of scar tissue. So I needed a C-section and cant deliver my baby normal. Well, I got pregnant again...very blessed and lucky. Had a scheduled C-section arranged and found out that I had mal-practice done on me by my first C-section, as I laid on the table going through another C-section. Also, had some masses on my ovaries that indicated and was tested for server endometriosis. Now I don't have that running in my family history so, I believe it came from bad surgery. So here I am 6 years later and suffering from a lot of pain, discomfort and fatigue. I don't know if the scar tissue is casing some discomfort as the years go by but something isn't right. I may have to go back to see what in the hell is going on now! Got a lot of pain in my tummy when I push down...especially in the middle. Cant eat, and feeling pressure, bloating, sharp pain occasionally, sever fatigue, swollen abdomen...and so on. Going to the doctor again which I hate doing but here we go again...Hope they wont make it any worse then they already messed me up for life!! I never sued them when I should have!!

I think this is a very difficult topic for yahoo answers because endometriosis itself is so different for every woman. I myself have endo along with my mother. We both suffered/suffer in completely different ways. I have not had a c-section nor am I on any "treatments" since I am currently pregnant. My doctor and I both decided and agreed that we would address my infertility and then address my endo rather than the other way around since this will be my last pregnancy. You should really have a second opinion in anything that you have doubts about. Its obvious that you have doubts and your doctor will be ok with you getting a second opinion, make sure you bring all necessary information and surgical results with you. If your doctor is not supportive of a second opinion then they are not the right doctor for you. Have you discussed hte possibility of conceiving again with your doctor? If not you may want to bring it up as it is important for any decisions you have to make. For me all my options lead to not being able to have any more children. I hope you get better answers as I can not fully answer your questions about Lupron. Im sorry for what you are going through.
