I CAN NOT stand O'Brien's comedy. He is like a little, immature kid! What can we do to keep NBC from making a HUGE mistake?

In case you didn't know, they asked Jay Leno to retire in 2009, so they could promise the Tonight Show gig to O'Brien. He was going to leave to go to another network, and they were trying to keep him at NBC.

In our house, we can't stand Conan's show. :( ;(

o'brien will be a disaster for nbc, why else would letterman stay a year after leno's "retirement". o'brien's work is juvenile, at best, and it won't float with the older audience who have watched Carson and Leno. if he lasts more then two years i'd be greatly surprised.

Sorry I have to disagree with you.

Our house we feel that way about Leno and have never understood why him.....so many other good choices out there. I did not know they asked Leno to retire but I'm glad.

I can understand you not liking Conan though....he has a different type of sense of humor. Maybe you can watch Dave now... You gotta love Dave!

I am so Happy Conan is doing the tonight show. Leno sucks his comedy is dry and to be honest more and more people under 21 are watching late night and it isnt leno.

Anyone's better than Leno. I think Conan is silly but harmless. However, my fave is Letterman.

I love Conan! I like him a whole lot better than Leno. All he does is put his guests down. Unfortunately for you, he has a big fan base, so there not much you can do, other than changing the channel.

I'm sorry you feel that way. O'Brien is better than Leno in my book. Sure, he's immature, but he's also intelligent and has more charisma (in my opinion) than Jay. He's also very witty.

Yes, I LOVE Conan! I think he's hilarious & I seriously lough out loud & wake my hubbie up every time I watch. I guess you have to have a certain type of humor. But I would imagine when he's host of Tonight Show he'll definitely have to tone it down a bit, so maybe you won't disklike him as much.

well as you probably know conan originally was a writer for the simpsons..that year the focus of the show went from bart to the nearly retarted Homer..

o'breins' writting basically regressed Homer into the stereotypicall dad..the ralph krandom..the bumbleing idiot..

so I understand when you said Conan has really immature humor..

it's pretty sad when andy rictor was the funniest thing about the show..

ideally regus philbin was suppost to replace johny carson...
then letterman stuck his big fat nose into the mix...
he wanted the job..
so the network gave it to jay leno..
