My ex-girlfriend got busted for shoplifting. I had no clue as to how to handle the situation. We were on our way out the door when the buzzer went off. I figured that there must have been some mistake until the store rent-a-cop came up, asked to see her purse, and she cussed him up one side and down the other. I was saying stuff like, "Jesus, Woman!" and worse...

It was a couple of months ago.
I was on holiday with some girlfriends. We went to a small restaurant/bar to have lunch, and the waiter was this really old guy who had a few problems. One of them was his bad memory, another was that he was obviously out of practice, and he had some sort of problem with his teeth. At one point, one of his prosthetic teeth fell, or something like that; he also dropped our drinks, and forgot what we'd ordered. I
t was all so ridiculous, and funny, of course, but my friends were impatinent and really rude to the old guy.
I felt so embarrassed! While I was trying to be kind and patient, because this old waiter was obviously out of his element, my friends were getting impatient and angry instead, and treating him badly.
I felt embarrassed both for the guy and for the girls' attitudes. Awful situation.

This a very good question, I will watch to see the answers. Unfortunately, I don't recall an instance at the moment. I am sure there was one through.
