Engage the Advocate from your city only,He will fight your case in any court of India.That willbe cheaper and advisable.If you are the owner of the propery then You have to waite for atleast 7 to 9 years in court .for getting the jurisdiction in Rent Act.

My friend all lawyers are liers. Getting a honest lawyer is against the lawyer's profession. You can never get a honest advocate in India. Even if you get one, the judge is not honest. Bad luck my friend.

Be cautioned that whoever you engage, especially if they tout themselves as "best" advocates, they will charge you not less than Rs2 - Rs5 lacs per appearance. Please settle your fees in advance and be very clear as to whether fees will be charged for appearance "with argument" or appearance even for adjournment. Good luck.
